Project workflow
Stage 1: Specify the rules
Write the entry filter, stop-loss, position-sizing and trailing-stop rules.
Stage 2: Code the Expert Advisor
Implement the rules in MQL5 with clear inputs.
Stage 3: Test in the strategy tester
Run the Expert Advisor on historical data in the MetaTrader 5 strategy tester.
Stage 4: Review the report
Write commentary on the tester report, including its limitations.
