Recommended sequence

Pine Script is the gentlest entry point to coding. Python is the core of the path; MQL5 suits MetaTrader users, and Trading Platform Development (coming soon) is the most advanced step.

Recommended sequence

This course sequence is a recommended starting point and may be refined. You can take courses individually and in a different order where prerequisites allow.

  1. Stage 1: Foundation

    Start coding in the browser with Pine Script — indicators, strategies and alerts.

  2. Stage 2: Core skills

    Build, back-test and paper-trade strategies in Python.

  3. Stage 3: Applied practice

    Run strategies in paper-trading mode with simulated orders and documented risk controls.

    Every course in the path includes structured practice — paper trading, exercises and reviewed journals — so concepts are applied before they are relied on. The current status of AlphaSync, the Academy’s simulated practice environment, is shown below.

    AlphaSync is a simulated practice environment for education. Simulated and paper-trading environments do not reproduce all the characteristics of live markets, such as execution, liquidity, costs and emotional pressure. Simulated results do not represent actual trading and do not predict future results. Screens show illustrative data.

  4. Stage 4: Projects

    Build the course projects — a data dashboard, a back-tester, an analytics report, a paper-trading system and Expert Advisors.
