Overview

An intermediate course for learners who can already read a basic chart. It covers price action and market structure, Smart Money Concepts, multi-timeframe confluence, advanced chart patterns including Wyckoff and harmonics, and volume tools such as VWAP and Volume Profile. Learners finish by documenting a rules-based strategy and manually back-testing it on historical Indian market data.

Part of Trader (core skills) and Trading Professional (core skills).

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to complete the Foundation Program first?

Strongly recommended. This course builds directly on concepts from the Foundation Program: candlestick reading, basic support/resistance and basic indicators are assumed knowledge. If you are a self-taught trader with six or more months of chart experience and you understand market structure, RSI and moving averages comfortably, you can likely join directly — but we recommend contacting us first.

What is Smart Money Concepts (SMC) and how is it different from regular TA?

Traditional technical analysis looks at patterns and indicators from a retail perspective. Smart Money Concepts looks at the same charts from an institutional perspective — where large participants placed orders and where liquidity sits. SMC is not a secret system; it is a structural, logical framework for understanding why price moves where it does.

Is this course relevant for intraday traders or just swing traders?

Both. Market structure, order blocks, fair value gaps and multi-timeframe confluence apply to intraday charts (5-minute, 15-minute) and to swing trading (daily, weekly). Concepts are taught on multiple timeframes so you can apply them to your preferred style.

How long does the back-testing exercise take?

The back-testing project (minimum 30 trades) typically takes 3–5 hours spread across two or three sessions once you understand the process. The methodology is taught in Module 6 using TradingView's bar replay feature.
